EMBER / PRIVACY

Workplace information.

Privacy information for the Ember workplace platform.

Scope and responsibility

Ember is a workplace communication and reference application for approved employees of participating organizations. Barwe operates the application platform. Your employer or participating organization determines employee access, content, audiences and applicable workplace-record practices.

Account and workplace information

Ember may process your name, email, organization, employee membership, job profile and access status. Sign-in is provided through Amazon Cognito and any identity provider configured for your organization. Passwords and MFA secrets should never be included in support messages.

Information created through app use

Depending on enabled features, records may include announcement delivery audiences, first-read and acknowledgment timestamps, training assignments and completion records, support requests and their status, company-calendar information, shift-interest responses, poll participation and notification preferences.

Devices and notifications

When you enable notifications, device registration information and push tokens may be processed to deliver app notifications. Apple Push Notification service and email delivery services may process notification information. Notification availability depends on your settings and your organization’s configuration.

References and external services

Hospital, medication and protocol references may link to or obtain information from external sources. External websites and services have their own privacy practices. Features connected to a workforce or scheduling provider must be described according to the connections actually enabled for your organization.

Who can access workplace records

Authorized administrators and designated support personnel can access records according to their permissions and company scope. Your employer may retain workplace records under its own requirements. Installing the app or receiving a TestFlight invitation does not itself grant employee access.

Retention and account-data requests

Contact your organization for employee-access changes and questions about employment records. To request review of app-held personal information, use the privacy contact below or select Privacy or account-data request in the support form. Requests are reviewed against the records involved, authorization and applicable retention obligations. Submitting a request does not automatically erase records or external identity-provider accounts.

Appropriate use

Do not enter patient information, passwords, MFA codes or unnecessary payroll details in ordinary support or feedback messages. Use your organization’s approved systems for patient records and urgent operational communication.

Contact and updates

Use the contact details below for questions about this notice or an account-data request. This notice must be kept aligned with the deployed application and the participating organizations’ practices.
